ArtHouse: Home Away from Home

I’m Red, and after 7 years of travel nursing I finally decided to plant roots here in DC. I bought a little red-brick row home in Petworth, a cozy neighborhood that feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still keeps you close to the city.

If anyone knows the struggle of hunting for furnished housing before starting a new assignment, it’s me. That’s why I’m creating the kind of place I wish I had as a traveler — a safe, affordable home that feels personal and peaceful.

I’m furnishing a private, pet-friendly 1-bedroom unit with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, and secure entry. It’s a space where you can come home after a long shift, easily find parking, be greeted by your pet, cook a meal (or grab takeout), and recharge while binge-watching or catching up with loved ones.

My vision goes beyond four walls. I want to share what makes DC such a vibrant place to live — from gallery openings and coffee shops to hidden gems and neighborhood events. Maybe even invite you into my world through an Ethiopian coffee ceremony, baking a batch of something sweet, or showing you the handmade prints I create in my studio.

The unit is close to major hospitals, Metro stations, gyms, and restaurants — move-in ready by September 15th, just in time for fall assignments in DC.
